Cookie Policy

This website uses technical cookies to ensure that it functions properly and to improve the online user experience of the applications. This document provides information on the use of cookies, how the site uses them and how to manage them.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are sent from the web site visited by the user to the user’s device (usually to the browser), where they are stored and re-sent from the user’s device back to the site at the next time of visit so that the site can recognize the device and therefore the user.
So called “Third party” cookies are, instead, set by a website other than the one the user is visiting. This is because on each site there may be elements (images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains, etc.) that reside on servers other than that of the visited site.

Types of cookies
Based on the characteristics and use of cookies, different categories can be distinguished:
-Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of comunicating via an electronic communications network or for improving the performance of a web site or application..

Technical cookies
These cookies are normally installed directly by the website owner or operator and can be divided into the following categories:
– Browsing or Session Cookies required for normal browsing and use of the website;
– Analytics Cookies which are assimilated to technical cookies when used directly by the site manager to collect aggregate data on the number of users and how they visit such site. These cookies allow data controllers and/or web site managers to understand how users interact with the site content for optimization purposes;

– Functionality cookies, which allow the user to browse based on a number of selected criteria (e.g. language, the product selected for purchase) to improve the browsing experience of the website.
The use of technical cookies does not require the users’ prior consent.

Profiling cookies
These cookies are used to trace the user’s browsing, analyze his behavior for marketing purposes and to create profiles of his tastes, habits, choices, etc, to send targeted advertising messages in line with the preferences shown from his online browsing. Due to the particular invasiveness that these devices may have in the private sphere of users, European and Italian legislation provides that the user must be adequately informed about their use and thus express their valid consent. This site does not use profiling cookies.

Analytics Cookies
WebTrends
For the sole purpose of monitoring and improving the performance of the site, a statistical analysis market product is used to detect access to the site. It may resort to the use of cookies, permanent and otherwise, to collect statistical information and on the “unique visitors” of the site. Cookies, defined as “Unique Visitor Cookies”, contain an alphanumeric code that identifies the browsing computers, without actually collecting any personal data.

Google Analytics
The site also includes components transmitted by Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). These cookies are used for the sole purpose of monitoring and improving the performance of the site. For more information, please refer to the link below:

The user can selectively disable the action of Google Analytics by installing the opt-out component provided by Google on his browser. To disable the action of Google Analytics, please refer to the link below:

Vimeo
The site uses a video content visualization service managed by Vimeo. These third-party cookies are used to store user preferences and information every time they visit web pages containing Vimeo embed videos. To view the Vimeo privacy policy and receive further information about the cookies that Vimeo can install on devices, as well as to eventually disable them, please refer to the link here.

Duration of cookies
Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the browser is closed or any logout command is executed. Other cookies “survive” when the browser is closed and are also available on subsequent visits by the user. These cookies are called persistent and their duration is set by the server when they are created. In some cases a deadline is set, in other cases the duration is unlimited.

Cookie Management
The user can decide whether or not to accept cookies using the settings of his browser. Warning: the total or partial disabling of technical cookies could compromise the optimal use of the site. Disabling “third-party” cookies does not affect browsing in any way.
The setting can be defined specifically for different websites and web applications. In addition, browsers allow you to define different settings for “proprietary” and “third party” cookies. As an example, in Firefox, through the menu Tools-> Options-> Privacy, you can access a control panel where you can define whether or not to accept the different types of cookies and proceed with their removal. On the internet you can easily find the documentation on how to set the cookie management rules for your browser, by way of example, here are some addresses relating to the main browsers:

Chrome
Firefox
Internet Explorer
Opera
Safari
